How to book

Most X-ray and ultrasound appointments require a referral from a health professional.

Referrals can be sent by your GP, nurse practitioner, physiotherapist, chiropractor, osteopath, or another relevant healthcare provider.

Urgent imaging requests

Same-day appointments may be available for clinically urgent imaging requests, subject to availability.

Please call ahead so our team can check availability and advise the best next step.

Information for referrers

We welcome referrals from GPs, nurse practitioners, physiotherapists, chiropractors, osteopaths, and other healthcare providers.

Before submitting a referral, please check the relevant funding criteria and clearly indicate the referral type where appropriate, such as:

• ACC
• Private
• Obstetric
• POAC
• CRRS
• Public

If a referral is not eligible for public funding or ACC, please discuss private payment with the patient before their appointment. This helps avoid confusion on the day and supports a smoother experience for patients and staff.

Public imaging referrals should be sent directly through the appropriate public service pathway.
